Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree

I was trying to explain to Paige that there was popcorn popping on the apricot tree outside my window. I even started singing the song to her, so that she could relate to what I was trying to tell her. She looked me square in the eye and said “Grandma, that is not popcorn!”. Maybe my mistake was the singing? Oh well, here goes . . . I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree . . . . ¬†Yes, it must have been the singing! Anyway, the blossoms were beautiful, and if there is a shortage of honey bees, it is because they were all in my apricot enjoying the sweet nectar (and my singing!).

A great story, and the response sounds exactly like something Paige would say!
